My definition of art has not changed. I have always loved art and this class just helped me explore that even more. I will definitely continue to keep doing art. If I could redo a project, it would be this. I was away when this project was assigned so when I came back I just slopped it together. I think it shows on its appearance what little effort I put in. A technique I used that worked really well was colored pencil. It's really easy but I like using colored pencil. It was successful because I was about to show the colors I wanted to.
I learned from other projects how to use charcoal and it ended up being my favorite. I also combined pen and paint. I think I grew as an artist because I had to get her face very detailed and close to the actual character. I chose portrait and create your own. I chose these because I these are my favorite types of projects to do. I used sharpie and water color. I really liked how the mermaid turned out but I wish maleficent turned out better with her face. I pictured it looking more like the actual person but I don't think it does. I worked with brittany Myron on this project. I videoed and she drew. It was easy to video but hard to come up with ideas and if I could change something I would picked a better storyline. This artwork is inspiring to me because it not only is just art but its 3D art that this young, aspiring artist Timothy Reckart has made in an Oscar Award winning stop motion film. Reckart grew up in Arizona and is now based in Los Angeles. He wrote papers, made films at NFTS, and his graduation film, Head Over Hills, won that oscar. These pictures are from that film. I really like this art because it is so detailed and i love the whole idea of this film because it reminds me of my grandparent and just any couples in general like my boyfriend and I. I really liked this project because it was a different kind of art I've never worked with before. If I could change something, I don't think there is anything I would want to change. |
