How did you respond to challenges that occurred as you worked?
So, two days before the project was due, I talked with Mrs. Rossi and we decided that my project just didn't look good. The darks just overruled the whole picture and it was very flat looking so I restarted my project and I did this. It's me leaning on my knee and the picture is taken from the bottom of my shoe, up. I think I did an okay job. I'm proud of myself for starting over and getting it done so quickly. I don't have any sketches or anything since I had to start over quickly.
Did you consider how ideas would work before you tried them?
Like I said, I had to restart pretty soon before the project was due but I wish the picture was easier to tell what it was. I know what it is but when I ask others, people don't really know what it is. I feel like I really did consider how to make this look though. I knew it would be hard to tell the jeans so I tried hard to make them look like pants and to show the difference between my arm, shoe, and pants.
Did you gain skill with familiar materials?
We have been working with graphite for awhile and I feel like I learn more about it. I feel like I gained a lot of skill with the fabric in the jeans. Even though it didn't look like jeans you can still tell the creases in the fabric and i feel like I've improved.
