How did you use your own unique ideas in your work?
I love this piece so much. I added different colors than the actual picture and I really made it my own. I used all of the colors I love the most and I tried to push the values. I used purple for the leaf instead of green and I made the veins white with some light green and I used dark purple towards the stem. I just really like how it turned out.
Did you learn new techniques or processes as part of the work for this project?
I feel like in every project, I say I should've pushed the values but that's what I feel like here. I wish I would have made the purple darker but at the same time I feel like some of the brown paper showing through, makes it more leaf like. I learned how to do the shadow pretty well and making it darker in the stems. I learned how to use colors you don't see in the actual picture to show highlights and lowlights.
Did someone help you understand important information or inspire you?
Mrs. Rossi inspired me a lot in this project. She showed me that using colors you don't normally see can make the work so unique. She showed me how to push values.
